Aramex wants to be asset light,

That's why it can't control its delivery.

Want to be faster, cheaper and better ?

You can only pick 2.

wait ... i think this is a good idea!! just like Uber  :D  only concern is will they runaway with ur item  [sweatdrop]

Change is occurring in the final leg of delivery, or the so-called last mile, as the company prepares to launch mobile apps and invite the public to become couriers on a part-time basis. This allows it to create an open-source model that changes based on demand, solving the issue of capacity in its ecommerce business, an increasing revenue generator.

Shipping from US, who do you all recommend I use ar

My wife recently ship 1.9kg for sgd 40 but because she separate to 2 shipment

I use comgateway (their prices all in us$)

Got 2 things very good:

1) dbs 25% discount 1st shipment if can hit us$100

2) got quote guarantee. You give them the link. They give you shipping quote. If ok, you pay about us$15 for the quote confirmation.

I saved about $300 from Black Friday discount and these 2 comgateway kangtao

i feel there's a difference. my sis bought Ralph lauren which is a fair bit more expensive than my usual purchases (shipped to my address).

So for a bag of clothes, i feel it's more expensive compared to like even when i shipped back levis jeans which are way heavier though about same in volume.

But i don't remember the weights i shipped before previously, but i do have that feeling that more expensive items cost more.

yes it was due to insurance based on item value.

INSURANCE

At comGateway, all packages are insured for loss or damage during international shipping, for a cost of 1% of total charges paid to comGateway. Total charges include:

  • Item cost
  • U.S. domestic shipping charges (for BuyForMe orders only)
  • international shipping charges

you mean additional us$15 on top of quote?

yes it is about US$15

this is for the guarantee

in my case, the item itself is 20vkg, no box, just item

then I go get quote, they quote 20vkg, I jit tao buy the guarantee, because + the box, hmm keng 20vkg liao, sure more one

then when item reach their USA warehouse, all in 35vkg

I apply the guarantee, end up only pay for 20vkg + fuel surcharge + insurance

I very heng

item already 20vkg

box + item boh koh leng 20vkg one mah

end up savings:

black Friday = US$70

guarantee = (10vkg * US$6.25) - US$15 = US$47.5

25% DBS off 1st shipment (need to have at least US$100 shipping charge) = 20vkg * 6.25 * 0.25 = US$31.25

total savings about US$150 or S$230

Ralph Lauren ships out in boxes, so likely comgateway will charge on volumetric.

Macys ships out in plastic bags (like the courier bag type), so can only charge actual weight.

So depends on how the packing is done by the seller.

Ralph Lauren now uses smaller boxes for smaller orders so for the smaller box, is around US$25 with comgateway and by DHL.

so the US$15 is for additonal 10vkg guarantee?

i thought you say +$15?

think he means.. black friday save $70, the guarantee save $47.5 and DBS discount another $31.25

so total save usd150

if he don't buy guarantee, he will need to pay additional usd 60+ for shipping but now pay usd $15 nia

so usually per kg or vkg, what is the base rate.. anyone knows?

Not really related to Amazon but more for online shopping.

OCBC has changed the T&Cs for their Frank card. Used to be 6% rebate if you hit $500 spending including online spending. Now you have to spend $400 on non-online purchases to qualify for the 6% rebate.

Got caught out for the past 2 months until I called in and realized the change.

Bye bye Frank.
