Problem is I've been going to JB for 6 monthly servicing. Not sure how they will charge me for bringing my own EO.

 

Should probably give them a call before I click to buy.

 

Many JB ws will just charge you for labour, if you bring your own oil.

They don't behave like local ws.

"free" and "points check" is just a gimmick here.

They make you feel good.

But do you really know they do the "points check" at all ?

 

The only "points check" that you should do is by yourself and regularly.

Don't leave this to the ws. It may be too late.

 

Check your engine oil level, brake fluid level, coolant level, tyre pressure.

Even if you missed it, some alarms will be raised.

 

Just do not ignore these lights that come up when the engine is running :

1. battery -> charging problem usually alternator dead

2. oil can -> oil pressure light indicating low oil level or blocked oil passage

3. hand brake -> either hand brake is on or brake fluid level low

4. check engine light -> engine problem like misfire

5. engine overheat -> low or no coolant, thermostat or water pump not working

Did not go through the whole thread but just like to share can use www.camelcamelcamel.com to keep track and be notified of any price change for amazon stuff. There are historical price charts too.

 

I usually check this site before i order my amazon stuff. If price is acceptible based on historal chart, will just go ahead and buy.

 

If i see the price now is all time high, and i have no urgent need, I will set alert level to inform me via email when the price is breeched.

Saved quite abit with this.
