Assume you are hunting next car, budget only enough for Jap/Kor mid-range categroy,

Look at Honda in Singapore market, will you choice?

Accord, Civic, CRV all MIT, but price ridiculous high, [thumbsdown]

CTR, City, Jazz, Stream disappeared from market, [thumbsdown]

Civic only 1.6L AT available, no MT, no 1.8 & 2.0 version, only 2 airbags, no traction control [thumbsdown]

All model engines without TC, DGI etc new tech, still stick on outdated Vtec [thumbsdown]

obviously Honda technology is far behind its compitetor like Toyota, Hyundai, Kia etc,

but price still is premium,

if Honda still runs its business in this strategery, soon or late previous glorious honda will be same as Mitsubishi and Suzuki in Singapore.

I think its more of substance to go with their current strategy pricing. If they keep up with their current progress in terms of the attractiveness of the new models be it design or technology, their brand will no doubt slowly die off.

Yes due to high COE I think my next ride will be a Honda.

4 stroke is simply superior technology.

I will only consider Honda's performance range like CTR and Euro R/ Euro S accord. Other than that, no thanks.

I think not just Honda. If you look at most Japanese makes in terms of equipment & quality of the interior trims the Koreans are a lot better. Equipment for the Japanese makes are mostly installed locally. Some make I heard had their air-con installed locally too. The OMV of the Korean makes are still lower dan the Japanese makes if compared apple to apple aka cars of the same segment. I feel like the labour & material cost in Japan are very high. Which is true coz I saw in the news the Japan GST is going to go up from 5% to 8%.

The AD in order to remain competitive brings in the bare to the bone car with some equipment installed locally. That really suck.

I think Honda will be banking a lot on their new CTR and NSX to raise their profile once again

CTR accd to mag review seem to raise the bar for FWD.

- 300hp/400nm

- FWD

- 275/30 - 19

- Big BK

- 0-100 5.5secs

- tester said no noticeable under steer even under hard cornering (FWD).

Honda stubborn, no matter what car always FWD, never care understeering issue,

I believe 300hp/400nm happen above 8000/6000 rpm, useless during normal driving condition
