Whatupz 1st Gear August 14, 2014 Share August 14, 2014 There is already the new facelift honda fit around in market quite long. Jazz is so slow on facelift. ↡ Advertisement
Contipro 5th Gear August 14, 2014 Share August 14, 2014 Very typical honda design... One concept and apply for all models... The design department seem like not doing a good job... May be lack of fund for car development.. Much of the RnD funds may have invested strongly in robot technology which they see it as a bright future...
Zxcvb Turbocharged August 14, 2014 Share August 14, 2014 http://www.sgcarmart.com/news/events_features.php?AID=2901 How come this article said the 1.5 RS got manual transmission option? But on SG Honda's website only got CVT??

Lkk8989 1st Gear August 16, 2014 Share August 16, 2014 I'm in a dilemma situation to choose between the 1.3L or 1.5L. Jazz/Fit 1.3G model - PI Price : around $93K to 98K. Kah Motor Price : $113K This model is uses the DOHC Atkinson Engine with max power 100ps & 119nN torque. However I read the Japan Honda website it's fuel tank size is only 32L , which is kind of small. (http://www.honda.co.jp/Fit/webcatalog/performance/spec/?type=13g) But Kah Motor website specifications indicate as 40L. (http://www.honda.com.sg/cars/jazz_spec_13.htm) Since Kah Motor also brings in Jazz from Japan, Whose specification is more accurate ? As for the Jazz 1.5L only sold by AD for $113K , it's also DOHC Atkinson Engine but GDI with max power 130ps & 155Nm torque. Fuel tank size is 40L. I understand there are few Fit 1.3 already on SG roads. Any kind souls wish to share your experience ? Apart from the 1.5L, if I decided to go for 1.3L, is it safe to buy from PI ?

AD JAZZ1.3 has no keyless entry and push start (from the brochure), no fog light, no LED headlight... And some other things... If these bothers u... The 1.3 and 1.5 RS price diff by 4k... Both says 40L fuel tank on brochure.
Hotnyh 3rd Gear August 17, 2014 Share August 17, 2014 From what I can tell, Kah's Jazz only has 2 front airbags ( even the 1.5). If the Fit has the full complement intact, it might influence your decision.

999 3rd Gear August 18, 2014 Share August 18, 2014 1.5L would be better. Lot's of stuff not with the 1.3 and drum brakes for rear in 1.3 too
Spring Moderator August 18, 2014 Share August 18, 2014 (edited) Normally for this kind of car, I would take 1.3l but for this particular edition of Jazz; I would go for the 1.5l as only $4k diff and you get so much more! Baal Supersonic August 18, 2014 Share August 18, 2014 (edited) But for this batch ( add in City), I would take City because :- Jazz is comp 13.5 & 11.5 respectively, prob recc 98 ron with 95 as min.- City becoz, at comp 10.3, likely to be min 92 & pumping 95 is already + 1 grade up. imo, 1 grade up for Sg in view of the HH climate is impt. Min ron stated in manual i believe is taking into account the ignition retard against pre-detonation.- I also want a boot to serve as a crumble zone. Esp, when its sushi car.PS : follow head I will take City 1.5. follow heart I will take Jazz 1.5 Edited August 18, 2014 by Baal

Go for the 1.5 version. I used to own a 1.3 version of the 2008 GE Jazz. This car is zippy and has reasonable pick up because it is light. If you carry more than 1 passengers, the performance of the car really start to deteriorate. Go for the 1.5 litre one, otherwise you will really feel the regret when you have passengers. Aaronlkl Supersonic August 18, 2014 Share August 18, 2014 Yes, i previously saw the Malaysian AD's model (which looks like using the same 1.5 engine with SOHC, compression only 10.3). Hence I suspected the Sg AD would bring in the same. However, saw that Sg AD appears to bring in the JDM spec. However, JDM 1.5 is 132ps which is 130.xx hp. So I thought they brought in the JDM with slightly diff ECU to bring it down to 128hp. Also with DOHC + higher comp, the indicated hp seems real. Assumig they blew up the specs, then it wont be just the hp, but also sohc upz to dohc, comp 10.3 upz to 11.5 & possibly mpi to gdi. However, they do have a model which uses the spec of the Malaysian Jazz which is the Sg AD's City. 118hp, sohc, comp 10.3. Yes indeed local AD brought in the JDM spec Jazz http://slf.honda.co.jp/SELFEST/PC/fit/ ↡ Advertisement
