Hi all I am kinda pissed that while other countries broadcast matches fer free we have to pay $112/-.

 

I am already on a VPN and watch Hulu & Netflix movies fer free on my tv and devices. The VPN I use is PIA and fer a cheap $3-5 a month (depending on your plan) I get unrestricted access to servers and websites in US, UK, etc. But you can use any number of VPNs (Hide My Ass, Freedom etc). I have unsubscribed from Starhub fer over a year now and will never ever go back to them. And PIA allows me to load the VPN on upto 5 devices so I can use this on any PC or Laptop at home or on the run.

If there are any other bros who are already on a VPN do share your experiences so everyone can gain easy access to good content.

Basically GCT is stating that if it's left to the local born Singaporeans, we have no hope. Only FT importation can give us hope. Makes your blood boil, doesn't it?

 

But *despite* that stupid myopic quickfix policy, he still couldn't make it work. Maybe he was just too cheapskate to pay really top class footballers their due. While our MiniStars are extremely well paid, even their pay packets would pale in comparison to that of the top athletes. They are simply too rich even by MiniStar standards. Going by how they judge dignity in Singapore, I guess that means they can bo hiu our MiniStars as much as they like.

I think its precisely because of this kinda "quick fix" mentality that brought us to the sad state we r in. PAP mentality is to use FT as a universal fix for everything, plunging birth-rates, employement crunch, sports etc

 

If they invested the same time and effort s they do to paying themselves million dollar salaries, these problems would be properly solved. E.g. falling birth-rates. Ask why locals don't wana reproduce and implement a economic and condusive work environment to address these woes.

 

All too often we see the PAP 'PAPER POLICIES" that look good only on paper. Like their policy to allow pregnant mothers to take extended leave. This works only in the civil service. In the private sector the poor woman ends up without a job.

Bro that's what happens when all the broadcasters (Starf**k & Sinktel) r all PAP monopolies. I think someone started a FB movement to boycott the Worldcup subscriptions here. $112 is THE MOST EXPENSIVE WORLDCUP price in the world.

So you can choose to have a USA, UK, NL IP etc.

If you want to watch Hulu, just set to USA IP.

 

You can test MDA restricted sites with a foreign IP.

 

There are of coz, plenty of other proxy servers and VPN.

Hi Kb27 I am using Anonymox now and it does set a US IP address fer me but many of the foreign US websites like hulu are blocking Proxies and I cant access Hulu using Anonymox.

 

I still need to activate my PIA VPN for full access to all the US websites. Anonymox only gives me limited access.

It should. All the VPNs should since all u need to do is load the VPN client onto your PC.

i'm sure gahmen ppl already thinking how to block the stream coming through VPN during WC. Is that possible?

you mentioned for free. Are there free VPN services? Are you currently paying for the VPN, or for Netflix?

eg got such thing sign up for free VPN which shows only free-to-air channels?
