Think its about 7hours + 45mins to foot of simpang pulai route off Ipoh town..climb up should take another 30-45mins...add in optional stopover along NSHW, plus minus reach the hotel probably about 9-9.5 hours.

More powerful vehicle or more gung-ho drivers might reach earlier. [:p]

How long is the drive from SG to Cameron Highlands via the new mountain road?

Okay guys, Let just say it will take more than 8 hours for the whole drive, cause the convoy group is quite big. Got about 30 cars. Some from idemitsu's, UFM 100.30's and myCarForum's people. So it's quite a big group, so will drive at a average speed of 90km/h or lesser base on the flow.

We try to stick as a group, that's the fun of a convoy drive mah. (:

Anyway, that's the holiday period, papa, mama, who intending to plan a holidays for a trip can consider this one. Papa can enjoy the long drive at NSHW, mama can relax and no need to do housechore for a few days, and the kids can have roadtrip, best is u can go with your buddy also.

One stone kill alot of birds.

Ohhh. . . . And the best thing is. . . DURAIN season!!! can eat durain also! hahahha!

Hi @kobayashigt is the petrol covered for the test cars? Then can i bring my family for the test cars?

Hi! The petrol will be sponsor by Idemitsu for the test car only, Self-driven car have to pay their own petrol arh...

For test car, max 2 pax per car. Because they wanna test the fuel efficiency of the engine oil. So got stricter requirement. Because you all will be the "test rats"

hehehe. ^_^

Ask me if you guys have anymore question. (;
