My old cheap clamp-type that is similar, the suction cup broke off somehow. I rather get one that is confirm reliable even if more expensive.

Due to my different case I need to use this type of clamp grip.

 

I saw DashCrab FX in NTUC for $49. Unless can be sure it will last for years, doubt it is worth while...

Koomus pro line? Don't think it'll do for me. I need those type that grip the device with a claw, because in my special case I am gripping a specialized charging cradle's base plate, rather than the phone directly.

Hence why I am considering the otherwise reputable DashCrab FX.

It's Magnetic, means I have a piece of metal plate behind my phone..
