Car Sales By Make for Jan - May 2014

01. 1872 Toyota

02. 1870 Merc

03. 1408 BMW

04. 0932 VW

05. 0594 Nissan

06. 0581 Audi

there was a 23% surge in May's sales (compared to Apr's) for Toyota that made it surpassed Merc by jz 2 units.

it must be due to the new Altis n the lower COE.

So many people willing to buy the altis for >120k?? [dizzy]

Anyway I always feel they should separate the sales of Lexus from Toyota to have a clearer picture of the situation. Why is Toyota and Lexus sales lumped togethen when Nissan and Infiniti are separate?

VW still at number 4. Not bad for a car reputed with so many problems and poor after sales service. Just visit VW Singapore Facebook page and you can see the number of complaints there are.

Kia not even in the list....don't know how come Nissan so high until higher than audi. What model is moving? I expect to see Mazda continue to climb up.....so I guess the new COE method does work (somehow). Though Cat A & B COE still not much difference but at least some of the non-conti cars are getting back some sales....

Because Kia is a Korean car. Many local driver still believe Japan car is better.

Suprisely they able to accept Korean HP, TV.

In Germany, I am seeing more Hyundai and Kia than Toyota & Honda on the road.

Do you know the Toyota in USA is fully equiped.

While our local Altis, 2 airbag [thumbsdown][thumbsdown]

MIT in Thai suposed to be for ASIAN market which is cheaper, but look at the price...

If I don't compare Kia K3, comparing japanese brand. I will get the Mazda 3, will be more fun to drive.

From the way you replied by post, I think you must be a die hard Toyota supporter.

I don't need to change car now, my COE expired in 2016 which I believe the COE price should be lower.

And I don't think I will buy a Toyota unless there is a more interesting model that is MIJ.

i would think all the VW problems that are getting prominent contribute to toyota's retaking of the throne.

Go down and take a look at new Altis. The workmanship. In Singapore, we can'even make a toy car. By the way, we are renting a car for 10 years. Not buying a car.
