using the 3-3-5 rules

you can afford a $500k property with

30% cash + cpf for downpayment = $150k

30% of monthly income to service loan

$100k annual household income

Was surprised a fren got a resale 3rm for 295k at boon keng, beside nel station. So confirmed prices falling

You sure 295k can get a 3 room flat at boon keng? Must be 2nd storey or the flat got ghost?! Lol.

ya sure. Saw the sales agreement. Its a old flat but whoever buys sure renovate to own taste. No need pay for previous owners reno. I told my fren she damn lucky to get that location n price.

Your friend is lucky having to pay below 300K for a prime location. Even those 'ulu' location lowest also needs to fetch about 300k to 320k!
