Technically they are still in business. They are operating at IMM.

The workshop in -charge (Jacky) stays in my neighbourhood. Really feel sorry for them.

If you have a Korean ride, perhaps you can go to Tong Lee Wee at Lengkok Bahru (in between Bt Merah/Tiong Bahru) and look for Nancy.

Thanks for the info. My right wing mirror motor seems like going to RIP. Something it cannot close or open though most of the time working. I'm very sure is the motor issue. If TLW have the part, I don't mine changing there, else got to go to IMM and change it.

They not accepting new biz anymore? What happened?

Well, firstly their Sin Ming workshop closed. When I email them they took very long to reply until in the end I went to Tong Lee Wee. When I bumped into Jacky one of the mornings (as I mentioned he is my neighbour) he said they are still operating but from IMM itself. Jacky's handphone number under MCD also cut off. So I kinda wonder if really operating or not. If they are why cut off the line which your past customers (like me) can contact you?

Anyway I felt the whole thing quite sad so I didn't ask any more. We were both heading off for work anyway. Their website also not updated which is not very nice since some customers might actually still go to Sin Ming only to find they made the journey for nothing.

Well, as to what happened - I can only guess that high COE + loan curbs killed the BB market. I remember in one of my last visits to MCD (can't remember when), I could just drive in and get service immediately. Last time even make appointment but reach there still have to wait long long and the workshop full. I worry TLW will end up the same although there is some recovery in the Korean BB Market after the change in COE categorisation and Hyundai/Kia sales have improved a bit but may not be enough.

Nancy still in this trade?

I still remember about 11 years back, when I 1st got my matrix, always go there with club matrix guys to do mod there.

The other time the shop was located near opp ikea, spend a lot of money there.

She should be quite old now.

Where is Mancando located? or anyone can recommend any workshop that can replace auto folding mirror's motor in the west area?

1. It could be the motor faulty. If you can get the motor, the repair cost is not more than $150. Mancando use to have it but it has close for business. Maybe you can check with Tong Lee Wee.

2. If changing the whole wing, it can cost you up to $800 with spray paint. Order the whole parts from Hyundai stockist could be cheaper.

3. Don't repair, close and open manually.

Hope this help. Keep us update on the repair and cost.
