Likely the auto tilt feature has malfunction, heard quite common for those autotilt which was done aftermarket (not factory install).

Can try to adjust the degree of tilting (on reverse gear, adjust upwards or downwards and see which degree has minimum return to original setting).

If still doesn't work, visit the workshop that did the installation and either

1) replace with new module (may want to consider those with autofold function - mirro automatically folded on locking the car)

2) remove the module (back to stock) - but agree reverse tilt is a useful feature to have.

some cars (eg S class merc/Chrysler voyager) factory autotilt is only on one side mirror (the L side).

For factory Japanese Toyota/lexus, those equipped with these features usually both L and R, and there is a button to disable the autofold feature too.

For aftermarket installation, I suspect the mddule control both sides (and probably same like factory, can control the degree of tilting individually)

Hi Alphard86,

Thanks for yr inputs. Just a update to this. I went to Borneo motor to disable the auto-tilt feature and the good thing is that the mirror still auto-fold when you log the car. No need to pay for this service. [smash]
