Went to watch Chappie today. Disappointed. Not exactly the type of movie that I like. Slow, draggy, poor acting, full of holes in the plot that doesn't make sense. IMDb had a 8.4 rating at the start of the day. Now, it had dropped to 8.1. It will drop more. Do not be fooled by the ratings.

If you like artificial intelligence and robots, feel free to go to the movies to watch. Or if you are a Hugh Jackman fan, go ahead. He's sort of like the villain in this one.

last check - Rotten Tomatoes gave 54% approval ratings. Metacritic lagi more brutal, giving a score of 38 out of 100.

 

Seems like Neill Blomkamp is losing his touch after the success of District 9, followed by the average Elysium and now this.

Those ratings make more sense.

It was abysmal. Suicide acting from the cast. I had high hopes for Neill Blomkamp but he failed miserably in this one. To think he co-wrote the story. Dragged too much with little action.

 

My wife thought it was ok though.
