SINGAPORE: A fallen tree briefly blocked off all the lanes on Still Road on Monday (Aug 26), but a group of construction workers quickly cleared the obstruction, allowing vehicles to pass.

All three lanes along Still Road, heading toward Eunos, were rendered impassable after a tree fell at about 2.15pm, following heavy rain.

A Twitter user, Grace, told @ChannelNewsAsia that the workers, who were helping to renovate a house nearby, immediately helped to move the fallen trunk, clearing one lane for vehicles to pass.

Trees belong to NParks.

Is NParks paying for all the damages and inconveniences ?

At least pay the worker some token sum for doing their job.

FW are dependable :)

They (most of them) are the ones that are building our Singapore with a meagre income, and yet show selflessness in helping us on other ways...

Kudos :)

Not all, but yeah, they're not the menace that society makes them out to be. A lot of Bangla / Indian workers are quite nice, will smile and talk to Singaporeans. In contrast to certain F'T'...

Firstly, I wonder how long the public need to go through the hotline auto-answer menu, before a real human pick up the call.

Because the Son Of Punggol never go there.

Maybe someone from PE should leave another satay stick there, see if he would come down and clear.

...... while all the drivers stuck in their cars sit nice and dry in their air-conditioned cars, furiously dialling on the phone to the police, MSO, and any other alphabet-soup Ministry or stat board.

+1 for the foreign workers, 0 for the drivers that waited to be served.
