Wow so good to be manual but the price of more than 100K seem too much. Only could settle a bread & butter (family car) where get Nissan Almera. If not get used car from the open market.

2nd hand Honda civic is the best B&B manual car in market

Not only R & RR, the 1.6 1.8 2.0 also got MT

Yes most likely would consider 2nd hand car but also worried whether the car had been involve in accident before.

Is the car evaluation test reliable?

Also buying 2nd car hand is like depend on luck. I remembered that having a 2nd car in the old days is like 年头 to 年尾 keep entering the car workshops.

For new manual cars, really not much choice in our market.

For used cars, go for FD civic. Honda provides one of the best stick shift in the world. Otherwise u may wanna consider the GD WRX. Very bang for buck performance but its maintenace is on the high side (Road tax, insurance etc)

Hope this helps.

It's not that bad to buy 2nd hand, but you must be familiar enough with cars to be able to pick out a good buy. The evaluations from AA and Vicom are generally more detailed (compared to STA) and they will tell whether the car has been in a major accident or any signs of body repair. They will also give you a good idea of the car's overall condition. But they might not always pick out certain wear and tear parts which are due to be changed. If the seller allows it, it would be better to let your regular workshop do a thorough test on it as they can advise you better and you can use this to negotiate the final price with the seller.

WIth some common sense, a good knowledge of cars and a reliable assessment from a trusted workshop, and if you set aside some money for a good servicing and change or replace all wear and tear parts after taking over, there's no reason why the car won't give you a reliable and problem-free ride for the rest of the time you own it.

If you want to buy a used car, just whack the lowest price from the dealer.

Don't believe them when they say they will change this change that for you. They will not.

Use the savings and set aside few thousand dollars for a major service after you collect the car.

Forget about getting a manual car. There isn't any good choice available anymore. Your best bet will be to check with PI.

If it's just the urge to drive a manual occasionally, either go and rent or like me, go and borrow a manual car to drive. I did that every now and then from my father in law who drove a Nissan pick up and Opel mini van.

Look like the only choice is to get a used 2nd hand car where replace all the wear & tear parts so that can continue for use.

Depends on how many years of the 2nd cars, if it's less than 7 years, as a Japanese car, not much wear & tear parts need to change as long as the owner service the car regualarly,

but if it's Korean car, better think twice
