Manual Car To Recommend, Which Make

Forget about getting a manual car. There isn't any good choice available anymore. Your best bet will be to check with PI.

If it's just the urge to drive a manual occasionally, either go and rent or like me, go and borrow a manual car to drive. I did that every now and then from my father in law who drove a Nissan pick up and Opel mini van.

Or like me, buy 2 cars [grin]

MT for weekday use

AT for weekend use

I'm petty super lazy with brain not functioning over the weekend

Thus weekend i use only AT [drivingcar]

Parameters are too vague. Too broad to give good advice.

Cars to consider:

Lotus Elise/Exige

Toyota FT-86/Subaru BRZ

Mazda Miata

Porsche 911 turbo

Of course, which amongst those you choose would depend on other factors like your budget and taste in cars, etc.

That one bone shaker. [laugh] Maybe TS wears denture. :D

Some people like their car suspension supple, but still can corner well.

That's why need more ADs to bring in more models with real manual transmission.

Previously I did that too, although for my case I didnt really go out of my way to buy 2 cars. It's just that when the opportunity came up to me to get that second car at low price, then why not? This 2nd car was an auto though.

should go for Honda civic R...very responsive

CTR must be JDM version, Euro CTR 2 doors not suit for family as TS request,

alternatively Euro Accord Type R, 6MT with brilliant responsive

2nd hand one price fell in new B&B category,

Yes may look at Euro Accord Type R, 6MT 2nd hand model instead of first hand.

Thanks those who had chip in but personally I would still prefer Japanese Car as they are easy to maintain like parts could access easily.

Continental cars are no no 100% to me. Korean cars looks cheap and good at 1st hand but 2nd hand is like ....

Thanks to the introduction of Class 3A license, the demand for manual cars are falling and car dealers no longer

bring in manual cars like they used to.

There are a handful of new manual cars available currently:

1) Suzuki Swift Sport

2) Suzuki Swift

3) Nissan Almera

4) Opel Astra OPC

5) FIAT Bravo

6) Mini Cooper (some models available have manual)

The Almera is the logical choice for a family car, for the rest you may have to sacrifice some of your requirements.

Seem like now difficult to find manual gear car, any make or model to recommend? If not, have to look at second hand car already.

It will cost more for sure. Don't forget, it still need to go through another separate homologation at LTA even though it's the exact same model/engine as the automatic.

Indent also require extra deposit down.

Any models? Got xtra charges for this indent? Or wud the manual costs cheaper than the auto?
