Sushi lover's entire body left riddled with WORMS after eating contaminated sashimi
  • Chinese man went to his doctor with stomach ache and itchy skin
  • Scans revealed his entire body had been infected with tapeworm
  • Doctors say this is due to the large amount of raw fish he had eaten
  • Cases such as this have increased due to the soaring popularity of sushi

It is the most expensive - and many would argue delicious - part of a sushi menu.

But one man's love of sashimi nearly killed him after it led to his body becoming riddled with tapeworm.

The Chinese man had gone to his doctor complaining of stomach ache and itchy skin.

To his horror, scans revealed his entire body had been infected with tapeworm after eating too much sashimi - raw slices of fish.

DailyMail..Hmm

Interested to know which restaurant he went to in China..

not all raw fish is sashimi grade...if you have cheap restaurants using non sashimi grade fish, then there could be trouble.

Eeeeeeee .......

But I am quite sceptical on this... does it mean those Japanese who eat so much sashimi would also ganna this?

Also, if the body have so much worms, it would have eaten up the organs liao.... weird !

Hmm

Could it be a China Jepun conspiracy.

Since sushi is associated with Jepun.

The guy probably had tapeworms from elsewhere?

Tape worm don't live outside the body. How can it found on the skin .... [confused]

Only found in intestine and it is about 10 ~ 30 feet long .... [sweatdrop]

If reported as 'Ring' worms, I believe ... [:/]

You know how the PRC Chinese hate the Japanese calling them "little Japan". Obviously this is a hoax to discredit their food....and culture. Food is culture.

Fish used for sushi/sashimi are supposed to be "sushi/sashimi grade" most of the time, where they are flash frozen not only to maintain freshness, but also to kill any parasite present in the fish.
