Terminally ill Joseph and Edna exchanged their wedding vows on 15 Oct in Singapore General Hospital (SGH), while he was in the hospital bed.

A few hours after the wedding ceremony, he slipped into a coma. He passed away 8 days later.

Joseph was diagnosed with pancreatic and liver cancer, a few months before their wedding.

His condition worsened, but instead of cancelling the wedding, they decided to hold it where Joseph was -- in the hospital bed.

In the video, he changed out of the hospital's gown into his SAF CDO No. 1 Uniform for the wedding.

Family members and friends gathered around his hospital bed, and witnessed the exchange of wedding vows and rings.

The video montage was created by Joseph's buddy, Ho Kah Meng.

And a man who doesn't drink or smoke to end up with pancreas / liver cancer, it is indeed veri sad... So moral of story, no matter how healthy you are. If you are chosen to "leave" the world, you should have no regrets...

Be kind, Be humble and Be charitable... RIP my friend [bigcry]

leave the touching part aside

if I am the guy, i won't marry the girl no matter what she says

why leave her with such a heavy burden at such a young age?

if you really love her, set her free...

Yes very touching n may Joseph RIP.

Not trying to be cynical here but I feel its abit unfair for Edna to be a widow

after 8 days but I guess this is what's called the power of love.

I'm a practical person and wouldn't have wanted Edna to marry if I

were Joseph n my guess is Edna insisted. I suppose its easy to say

from the outside n when we're not the smitten couple. To each his own I suppose

and I wish that Edna may grieve respectfully n yet be able to move on with her life.

No burden lah. It's not like he forever bedridden and need her to look after him. He already set her free.

he's terminal terminal lah. I think there's no physical burden. More understandable.

But i can understand your thinking. I probably would do the same.

But their decision can't be judged. Maybe it will resolve the emotional issue for the wife better.
