My android phone is dead and i need to extract its data (photos, downloads etc) before i reset the system. Is there any firm which can do it, similar to extracting data from dead harddisk etc? The manufacturer's service centre asked me to look for third party firms to do it as they cant do it for me.

Many thanks

You need to delete the history to hide your "tracks" ?? [sly]

if you had set your photo storage to micro SD card, then it'll be easier. Just take out card, put in adaptor and connect to PC to extract.

Thanks!! [grin]

Uncle, for your next phone, better set your phone to save all your download/data to Micro SD card.

Take out the battery (if it is removable) and then connect via USB to your PC and see if can read the phone's data.

Built in battery, so will try USB connection method as per you suggestion.

Regret not putting in SD card last time. But will check Google storage.

sometime the battery failed and could have shorted out, may not work via USB to PC as the USB will also try to charge the battery at the same time.

that's why I suspect it a faulty battery, you need to get the shop to remove the battery for you than USB connection to PC, extract all your data.
