Own a car, expect to waste money...only more or less.

 

If heart pain, then do BMW. Will do it in 10 years time...

 

Just too expensive...for car lite policy.

The obd they have is not those 100-200scanner do. Heard those scanner are expensive. Same sentiments, BMW soon. If got budget maybe escooter..... Those that are faster than car!

Guys, check with you huh, when does e warning light show? With 1 bar left? I top up with around 2 bar left.

 

Using a rental car lol trying also to extend the lifespan of this car. Esp the fc too!

I sent my '08 KM normal stream to spark, in comfortdegro, for free Coe renewal evaluation.

They quite $3k plus. Refurbish gearbox, changing brake pads were not mentioned.

 

Took me 1 week to chase after the quote.

 

Still don't know to trust them or not.

wa bro, u change your engine oil where?

 

diy air filter and cabine filter very easy.

brake pad is easy also, if u have the tools,

 

change engine oil at where not important. it is the DIY thats counts. satisfaction. moreover sg workshop dont go into detail. but when we do it ourselves we are more through.

Went to change oil, young car air cond guy suggested after smelling my transmission oil. (Con job?)

 

Met a friend driving a Odyssey. Renewed coe and refurbish gearbox at $3k plus.

 

Seems like people think that car reach 200,000 km, gearbox needs to change I.e. refurbish.

gearbox no issue don't go hand itchy overhaul it for nothing. latter no problem becomes more problem. pay for nothing but more worries and nightmare.

One technical question on my '08 Stream:

 

After moving off, sometimes you can hear mechanical sounds like car is doing some form of self adjustment. Is more often now then in it's 6th year.

 

Any one has a technical answer for this? Thanks in advance.

what kind of specific mechanical sound is that? like that very hard to help you leh. 

 

there shouldnt be any sound

It's a low volume sound as if something is adjusting. Then it stops. Sometime returns once or twice later in the journey.

 

Has been hearing it for 5 years.

 

Car still performing well thus I didn't bother. Mechanic did look under carriage but finds nothing unusual like leak.

My civic FD has that too, was told that it's the power steering, should not be an issue, mine also no problems

This morning when moving off from MSC, it's sounded. Sounds like a low volume Fart (sorry).

 

Trying to make sense for RSZ.

 

Radio was at volume 6. Still can hear quite clearly.

can visual what sound is that. perhaps can take sound recording and post here? 

 

if you say radio at volume 6 and still can here than that could be some issue but also may not.
