Road tax costs $4.5k?

I was queuing in singpost when a auntie in front of me approach the counter and say want to pay road tax. She have the standard road tax slip with her.

 

After the counter process, the cashier blip around 4.5k and she paid by cheque.

 

When it's my turn I see the counter keep the slip, only 1 slip mean paying for 1 car.

 

I may be suaku but What kind of car's road tax cost 4.5k?? A Ferrari issit?

based on engine capacity

diseal or petrol

above or below 10yrs. up till 15yrs

half yearly or yearly payment

So many cars with road tax more than 4.5k...it goes by engine capacity.

 

Some "bread and butter" sedan...e.g. ls460, bmw 750, m5, s500...

 

Last time when Chrysler brought in the srt8...the road tax was epic.

if I am not wrong, anything above 3000 cc need to pay a premium for rd tax liao.

My neighbor ex car E55, annual roadtax I think $6k, insurance with 55% is $12k.

Can easily pay off my car already.

bhp still ok as long they don't charge by torque.

Around 4+L car, likely with a V8. On a side note, the road tax for the MB C63 AMG(6.2) is around 7.5k.
