Char 5th Gear January 24, 2015 Author Share January 24, 2015 How to know if the engine is going to over heat ? I am driving Latio .
Cauldron 6th Gear January 24, 2015 Share January 24, 2015 I had this problem recently. Cooling fan broke down, aircon starts getting less cool. When i park and turn off the car, one of the hose feeding the coolant back to the radiator burst and coolant gushed out, fortunately no one was near the splash area. Topped up water and drive to work shop, but continue to monitor temperature. When it gets too hot, stop at road side. After repairs, the engine does seems to have some issue. The heat build up could leave a permanent damage to the engine etc. Better to tow in to workshop. Topping up water is a stop gap measure only as you do not know the extend of the leak. Hope it helps
Sdexxxxd 2nd Gear January 24, 2015 Share January 24, 2015 My coolant tank was empty and found stain on the floor . Any opinion on my problem ? What should I do ? Can add water into the coolant tank ? I had same problem 3 weeks ago. Had to top up water and coolant continuously. In the end went to repair at the Caltex petrol station in Braddel CTE exit towards Bishan. Not sure if they open on sundays.
Char 5th Gear January 25, 2015 Author Share January 25, 2015 One day can be done ?
Matrix0405 5th Gear January 25, 2015 Share January 25, 2015 One day can be done ? Just add tap water into the water tank and radiation when the car is cool. If car has 1 yr left, just top up with water regularly and monitor how long does it last to empty. More than 1 yr, consider to repair.

Ckchong8 1st Gear January 25, 2015 Share January 25, 2015 If leaking too rapid, possible that the casket on the engine block burnt. Need to change , not advisable to drive n topup as there still 16 months.
Fcw75 Hypersonic January 25, 2015 Share January 25, 2015 16 mths is not a short time. U want to check and topup every 2 days? What's the point? Then if you forgot and the engine is damaged, how? Don't be penny wise pound foolish.
