Over the years, we have come across some funny or rather, "bad" model name. Let me start by sharing a few.

Nissan Sway

Although it look quite nice, byt I don't think it will do well in area with lot of Chinese, as nobody want to be Sway (down on luck)...

Rinspeed Budii

Somehow, it remind me of "Buidi" (a fat pig in dialect)... Actually the car does look like one.

Haha...

Change name when they reach our shores,

Nissan Sway => Nissan Heng(lucky)

Toyota Sai => Toyota Keem(Gold)

Just like what Alfa did to the 164 (re-badge to 168).

My all time favourite which until today never fails to put a smile to my face is the Nissan Bluebird :D

Admittedly it's a hokkien acronym but a rather inappropriate one if ever!!

Nissan always had car names somehow related to genitals.

Simi Bluebird, Syphyllis, Latio (sounds like you know lah). [smash]

Years back, friend who had this car wanted to give a lift to some lady colleagues after an office function and innocently said "I'll give you ladies a ride in my Bluebird"!

The girls didn't know how to react and luckily a quick thinking guy colleague responded that Bluebird was actually the model of that guy's car and a potential embarrassing situation was averted lol!!
