Yo all,

 

i was talking to a friend who is Hockchew. We remembered we used to be eat this fried oyster cakes, but realised very few stalls selling now

 

anyone know any stall? preferably in West Coast, Bukit Merah, Clementi, Toa Payoh, Bishan, Thomson, AMK region

And of course Chomp Chomp FC. But the batter getting a little too crispy. If you like hao bing, the batter must be a certain balance between crispness and chewiness.

 

Remember, only open at night.

 

For all hao bing, if you want hot hot one, the trick is to tell uncle you want to add more stuffing!

This store was originally from Tanjong Pagar . Owner's granny / grandpa made the best hao pin .

 

I used to buy from them when young .

Yap i agree that it is one of the better ones. The only issue i have with this stall is the very brownish oil which i have no idea how long has the oil been used. Usually if the oil is fresh, it will not have an after taste.

Exactly, the oil and the hao bing are all quite dark in colour. But I will almost always buy 1 or 2 whenever Im there. Hao bing is just too delicious.

hahaha the Oil is like wine ..... the longer the nicer ? But not so healthy I guess

Reuse frying oil is not only unhealthy but can be hazardous to health (growth of bacteria) if not properly stored.

Usually can use for awhile ... even Mcdonald dont change oil that often.

I am hockchew... know how to speak...

But ashamed that I haven't even try this fried oyster cake ... aiyo ...

 

Only know how to eat hockchew fishball :)

not oteh la ............. its Hao Pin in chinese... locally we called it Tam Bia

Bugis street market got one. At the mid section. Yes a bit oily. The fruit juice also cheap.

 

 

I missed those days where pasam malam sell this. Nowadays quite difficult to find ppl selling.

 

Add ingredients got prawn somemore.
