AMK Ave 6 chain collision, 13 April about 10:30pm

HELP! Was involved in a multi-vehicle accident Monday night. AMK Ave 6 at junction with Ave 5. Red light, bus and taxi stopped in front of me in leftmost lane. I stopped and was whacked from behind by a black Maserati going real fast. Power to carcam cut off so wasn't captured. Would appreciate it if any member who recorded the Maserati speeding can share the footage. Thanks.

even at the moment of crash ... you should be able to prove you've already stopped completely (station)

As per what you'd described, it pretty obvious the Maserati is at fault for failing to stop in time. No need further evidence that he was speeding. Vehicles stopped at traffic light, kena whacked from behind. No arguement.

Ended up in Khoo Teck Puat A&E. Some swelling and pain in throat area (think hit the steering wheel) by X-rays showed no serious damage. Thanks.

 

Was more worried about my wife, who was my passenger, as she has a transplanted kidney. Ultrasound showed no trauma damage.

in this case, if @kklim has taken several pictures of the accident and happened to catch one of the maserati's dash board (with a car cam clearly displayed) - he might be able to ask the IO to request the maserati driver for the camera footage (and if for obvious reasons, the driver refuses to share the footage, then it could be likely a negative inference will be taken from this).

 

anyone knows if this would work in SG?

sigh. maybe they will still take a minor negative inference ... the IO can probably check if its hardwired ... doubt a new maserati will have a manual power socket one le. they will say spoil the look of their car!!

The owner have every rights not to share it. And in the eyes of law, it would not be taken into a consideration as an evidence. So he don't share means don't share, won't arouse any suspicion.

Lots of witnesses .... more importantly no major injuries.

 

This one pretty clearcut no need witness... Maserati at fault 100%. You are stopped at the traffic light but wtf is the driver doing. Looking at the damage to your car, he must be driving pretty fast.
