This is my blog landing page for a recent short family trip to Hong Kong and Macau.

http://guitar123foodandtravel.blogspot.sg/p/hong-kong-and-macau-2015.html

A very short trip, only 4 nights.

We flew with FlyScoot (cheap fares but the timing isn't great). Upon arriving in HK, we had a quick breakfast at the airport and took the Citybus A21 into HK and stayed at Eaton Hotel, which is 380 Nathan Road.

Over the 2 days, we had Tim Ho Wan (twice), Tsui Wah, Australian Dairy Company and some random food. We also visited Ocean Park and saw the Pandas. That was a very good day outing.

We took the ferry to Macau and stayed at the Holiday Inn, Cotai Strip, for one Night. We didn't do very much in Macau, just walked around Cotai Strip. It was too rushed, so we decided against going to the old downtown Macau. Shrekfast at Holiday Inn was pretty cool.

We took the ferry back to Hong Kong, stayed one night at the Regal Airport hotel, before taking the Scoot flight back to the Singapore. The plane was severely delayed.

Plenty of videos and some pictures on my blog, for your reference. Hope it is helpful for other tourists.

Nice!

Just a correction. The Tim Ho Wan at Shum Shui Po is not the original outlet. The original THW was at Mongkok who closed due to escalating rent.

Oh, thank you for the correction.

But am I correct that the Shum Shui Po outlet is the one with the Michelin Star?

Holiday Inn was cheaper for the dates we went. :D

Since the Holiday Inn was so well reviewed on Trip Advisor, we decided to give it a try.

Yeah, we needed the double queen beds to sleep the 4 of us.

If only the two of us travelling, then we have many more choices.

Suite? Ooh, won't be cheap?

We stayed at the Eaton Hotel family room, which was pretty good as my kids love the bunk bed.

We paid about 2,000HK per night for the Eaton hotel family room.

For a family room worth of dollar

The 1k plus is in sgd not hkd. Normal room price about 280sgd iirc
