Besides tourism, They wanna build talents for race mechanics and racers wannabe. Its an ASPIRATION....

Hmmmmm what do u reckon?

First race in Aug 2015. BEFORE SG Grand Prix....

Turbocharged

Don't think its a night race so cant call it a copycat . Tarmac can easily resurface .

But KL city race has one major advantage over Singapore race - no need to pass thru ERP gantries .

this will certainly "inspire" a lot of mat rempet to race in KL city ...

as if they have not already race every Sat night ... lol

.

.

.

.

.

they will need a lot of lesson to build the city track and remove the track ....

singapore took few years to learn and master the art of build and remove track to its optimal efficiency now

.

.

.

.

.

seems like a lot of "opportunities" to make money ... from top to bottom ... hehehehe

In essence, SG efficiency is difficult to replicate. It is like a barrier to entry from a strategic standpoint.

yeah ... close road ... divert traffic ... install barrier ... remove barrier ...

assessment of opportunities created and loss of opportunities (compensation) to affected areas

resurface tarmac ... normal operation interrupted ... day-to-day errands need to be adjusted ... etc

manpower and resource planning ... crowd control ... security ... every little process counts

In essence, SG efficiency is difficult to replicate. It is like a barrier to entry from a strategic standpoint.

With Sepang barely an hour's drive away (less than 20min in one of those GT cars going flat out, haha), the point seems to be missing.

No street circuit will ever be as "safe" in terms of having a perfect track surface or good run-off areas as a purpose-built circuit. But GT cars are a lot more similar to road going cars than F1 cars, so they should be more able to soak up the punishment from minor imperfections.
