Moving forward...

The 899 seems like such a perfect choice for a Class 2 bike.

Are you sure? This is Singapore, where there are heavy jams everyday.

That's why it's awesome riding a bike.

BB it may seem perfect for you, but to each his/her own.

Some people wouldn't even consider a supersport/superbike because they're all about the nakeds/tourers/adventure bikes/cruisers. Others won't consider a mid-class bike like the 899 because they're rather go straight for the 1199 or litrebikes (ahem).

I think the 899 is a nice balance and would probably be more fun on track than the 1199. It's a fine continuation of the middleweight line like the GSX-R 750, 748, 749, 848. F3 800 etc. Bikes with more power and torque than the supersports but not as manic as the litrebikes.

As age is catching up, this bike honda crossrunner is suitable for me .. sit-up straight is more relaxing. Haven't ride for 8 years and seem like this is going to be my future transport when current coe expires. Sigh.

Yes exactly. A litre bike will prob be too overpowered for street use, esp sg roads. A 600 to 800cc bike should prove easier to handle than the litre bikes. But we shall see. The Daytona 675R remains one of my top choices.

I feel an itch ...

More like a scratch. A deep scratch.
