is that a proper name to call it in the 1st place??

boot gas strut or something....

 

Just call stockist with your model/year (or number plate) and tell them what you need and they will have the information.

 

Should be this if yours if the old Tuscon model.

iirc, a pair at 60+ fr veerasamy rd stockist.

 

i diy-ed. just need to use flat head screwdriver lift up a little of the metal clip for socket 2b inserted into / removed outta ball.

It's best advice to replace a pair than one...usually both gonna be gone soon.
