Was at some audioshop at Toh Guan recently.

 

Audited a few speakers..

 

Micro Precision (out of my budget),

The sound is definitely good.

clear and crisp.

didn't hear much because not matter how much i hear i also won't buy.

 

Ground Zero GZUC

Mid bass is there. but the sound is not warm enough overall.

But not as clear and crisp and warm as Morel Virtus

 

Morel Virtus

Basically, its what I want. but kind of exceed by budget. $800

Basically, I love to listen to Wang Lee Hom, Taylor Swift, GEM Tang, these kind of song.

Does anyone have recommendation for song so such genre?

Have you considered visiting other shop to listen to others?

 

Try to listen to scanspeak, focal and DLS before u decide.

I end up settling for DLS MC 6.2

The sound is clear and i can hear more details as compared to Morel which I wanted.

The mid-bass is a little disappointing as compared to my previous Helix Blue 62.1.

I still prefer warmer sound though.

Another audio shop advised me that Morel required a lot of power, which I vaguely remembered reading in sgsoundsystem some time back.

 

 

Focal is too sharp for me.

I also checked out the Morel Vitus - found the full warm midrange to be really nice - but went with Focals cld the Morels cldnt fit in my car  :(

Im on morel dotech ovation 6.5 inch after using 4 inch component and totally not satisfied with the performance. Therefore had to drill my door panel (Metal and plastic)  to fit the 6.5 inch speaker.

 

After which went on to add audison bit 10 in to tune. Very happy with it, an all rounder performer i can say. It's an expensive journey along the way but worth it.   

 

I think it is a discontinued item in sg.......
