NightWind 4th Gear July 20, 2015 Share July 20, 2015 Hi all i was searching for good deal for the MRG 770BD. Its a cheaper alternative to the MRG G1000. This is the watch on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8i9Wh8_O1A And it also looks like this in other ebay adverts. But i came across this ebay ad and really wonder if its the same watch, or whether its some cheap replica being passed on as a authentic MRG: http://www.ebay.com.sg/itm/331608525535?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT This ebay "MRG" looks hideous and nothing like the versions on youtube or on other ebay ads and pics. Is it just me or do the other bros here also feel the same way? Thanks for your comments. And pls also let me have your recommendations on this watch and where i can get a local source for purchase? thanks ↡ Advertisement

Etnt Turbocharged July 21, 2015 Share July 21, 2015 The casio/gshock shops and counters officially run by them should have them. Usually each of them have a few pieces. Both 7600 and 7700 were available earlier this year. Maybe you can try calling to ask which outlet still has stock https://www.facebook.com/CasioTimepieceSingapore/info?tab=page_info
1fast1 Supersonic July 21, 2015 Share July 21, 2015 This doesn't look like it has GPS based time sync. The radio controlled time sync pretty much doesn't work in Singapore (working very erratically in some locations doesn't really count).

The GPS timesync is the G1000 series, that one runs 3.4k and 4k respectively for the 2 models, while the older 7600 runs 1.4k and the 7700 runs 1.8k. Less bells and whistles, but still a very nice beater.

Like one of the bro mentioned, The Marina Bay Shoppes' G-FACTORY is a good place to check out. Then, I think the usual spots are Bencoolen and (if no choice), People's Park? Probably one of the first in SG to get it retail - bought it second day of release at G-factory. Paid $999, but the price became much cheaper in subsequent months - I think it dropped by as much as $300 bucks.

Etnt Turbocharged July 21, 2015 Share July 21, 2015 Anyway from the ebay pics, the tone looks off. The color of the 7700 should be black sheen, even under bright light, it doesn't appear grey to me like in those pics.
NightWind 4th Gear July 21, 2015 Author Share July 21, 2015 Tks Stefank i already checked all local sources including G Factory and also Casio pte Ltd n they have no local stock. I also checked the local watch shops and online sorces like WatchWagon, Sgwatchmall, classifieds etc to no avail. I really like MRGs but the MRG G1000 is too expensive for me so i resorted to cheaper alternative MRGs. If you have any recommendations pls do let me know. Anyway, you can always PM the seller and check if it's the MRG-7700B-1AJF or MRG-7700B-1BJF or MRG-7600D-1AJF. I think it's the MRG-7700B-1AJF, but because the photos used by the seller, the white level is too high, thereby 'whitening' almost everything. Probably used very strong white spotlight without filter as well... Just message the seller as he/she seem to have a rather high rating on ebay (>99%). But be reminded that this watch you are looking at is used, not NEW. Here's another picture for you to compare:
NightWind 4th Gear July 21, 2015 Author Share July 21, 2015 Thanks Stefank you have been most kind n this helps alot. Its the MRG 7700B, u can see the yellow highlights. And u r right perhaps they used an overly white light. And yes i did contact the seller n they confirm its an authentic watch. I am in dialogue with Casio singapore to see if they can import from japan. I dont mind paying upfront to Casio singapore as its a reputed and established supplier. But i wont take delivery and accompanying quality risk from ebay off shore sellers. No problem. I've pm-ed you as well. This isn't a worldwide item I think. I saw the 7600 at MBS a few months back (think apr).
NightWind 4th Gear July 21, 2015 Author Share July 21, 2015 Yes i am also looking for the MRG 7600, its not the same, lacks the yellow gold highlights and the case and bracelet is a lighter shade. I was really after something with black titanium. In fact i am looking at all MRGs in the 7000-8000 range. But i have a limited budget You might consider 7600 too. Tks you have to post in the group and ask if anyone can bring in the watch for you. Periodically, there'll be some who will bring in Gs from Japan. I got the pic from an overseas G forum. If you search MRG-7700B, you might be able to find the same forum in the first 2 pages. Trusted sellers can also be from Amazon.

The radio controlled time sync pretty much doesn't work in Singapore (working very erratically in some locations doesn't really count). My multi-band GW-5000-1JF syncs pretty well (at Queenstown) with signals from Mount Hagane, Kyushu. Edited July 21, 2015 by Kilomatrix
NightWind 4th Gear July 21, 2015 Author Share July 21, 2015 Hi is it Multiband 6? Which is the nearest emitting station? And where exactly in Queenstown pls? I thought at this range its impossible to get a radio signal,so i was wrong. And thats good. My multi-band GW-5000-1JF syncs pretty well (at Queenstown) with signals from Mount Hagane, Kyushu. ↡ Advertisement
