Nzy Twincharged September 23, 2015 Share September 23, 2015 (edited) Why do drivers in Singapore like to drive on two lanes? I had some close encounters with a few SUVs. They thought their car is very big. Just encountered this guy driving a Defender in the carpark. Refused to move just because there was a car stopped at the side waiting for lot. All the cars started honking then he finally decided to try and squeeze past. Even the garbage truck behind us can go through and he thought he couldn't. Caravan 5th Gear September 23, 2015 Share September 23, 2015 Some can't turn for nuts. Taking up 2 lanes. If cannot turn confidently at that speed, should have just move aside and let others pass.
Sweeney 4th Gear September 23, 2015 Share September 23, 2015 More money than driving skills, obviously. Many big-sized luxury brands driven by owners who have obviously no skills, no appreciation and no clue of the cars they are driving.

Send him back to kindergarten.

alphard96 6th Gear October 26, 2015 Share October 26, 2015 For such cars, try to avoid overtaking closely, or remain in their blind spot....as the driver may suddenly change lane causing accident, or worst if its a drunk driver or busy doing other things eg using hp..... without realising their car had drifted. This is careless and dangerous, accidents may happen. Also once in a while encounter a U-turning vehicle taking up another lane, driver possibly used to driving large lorry or bus..hehe btw Saw one white volvo XC90 driving on 2 lanes......then realised its an unmarked police car escorting a car in front. volvo with normal registration plate, i think its sgx, if remember correctly. There are no TP bikes outrider around. Pls beware. Lucky never high beam the driver to warn him to stick to one lane!

Lucky never high beam the driver to warn him to stick to one lane! yes, esp when keep tapping on brakes as well, most likely on hp. guess its SOP for the escorting XC to drive like that but its a bit annoying me thinks. so I just slow down and let them pass lah ... big kahuna time very the precious ... me just simple citizen ... usually the XC also has some electronic display lights at the rear window that say "keep clear thank you" or something. Wt_know Supersonic October 26, 2015 Share October 26, 2015 (edited) it's daily affair la ... like turning ... most left lane (lane 3) while turning right eat into lane 2 ... after turninig both lanes are going straight anyway ... there is no need to chut pattern to cut lane immediately but the kuku driver cannot keep into his lane . . . the other pattern is at 2 lane and want to make a u-turn ... then eat into outer lane to get more space . . . the most obvious pattern is cannot decide want to keep left or right in the 2 lane ... Watwheels Supersonic October 27, 2015 Share October 27, 2015 Very often I see those who occupy 2 lanes are old Camry and new Altis. Old Camry are driven by ah peks or lau hero, eyesight no good but still do not wear glasses. Those driving new Altis have more of a newbie look. Need 2 lanes to make a turn. Dunno how these jokers pass driving.
Andyngps 5th Gear October 27, 2015 Share October 27, 2015 Just lack the discipline to follow the lanes.esp irritating when taking turns and they keep moving into your turning lane. This happens all the time. They just simply dun care. If you brush against them it will be your fault. I hate such drivers and i see it at rvery turn. Lta should just remove the guide lines since they are useless.
