Actually it is the duty of the Taxi Drivers,to make sure Passengers are safe or not to alight, not just stop, collect $$$ & let the Passenger decide when can open their doors.

Sometimes passenger open doors too quickly. Cant blame the drivers. No one should exit from the right along the road side unless they know what they are doing.

S korea has been installing this on their cab

Its good for passengers to check during alighting.

In certain cases, passengers will be able to help driver to check left lane clear anot during zig zag lol

IF everyone open the door at the walkway side instead of traffic it would reduce all this need of installing a mirror.

The are however a lot of ku ku cyclist somehow still ride rather fast on that side and yes, it happens.

Saw this on merc taxi. Is just a DIY handler that the taxi driver install. I guess is for the needy passenger to hold on while alight and boarding.

What in the world are you talking about bro??

Turbocharged

I remember when I'm in Taipei, taxi only allow me to open the door that is beside a pathway.

Not allow to open the other door that is a road

That's a good safety measure for all drivers.
