Only problem with suv is multi storey carpark open boot got problem. Esp those older design carpark with the protruding metal

Who ask you to back in when you park? It's just ridiculous to back in when you park in a multi storey car park when it's almost impossible to access your boot after that.

Agree absolutely, especially with regard to HDB mscp designs. Never boot friendly.   :D

Turbocharged

Exactly, if its FXT engine then it will be a lot better.

If its FXT engine, everyone will chiong outback instead...lol

Ford ranger, land rover defender, jeep wrangler, hummer3

These then call SUV. The original list from TS is a joke. Vezel an SUV...lol

In terms of resale value which will be better? XV, Qashqai or Vezel?

Few people now interested in resale value - everyone keep car for 10 years now.

Especially those who buy lowest end SUVs like the 3 above - no money to buy new car so soon again.

Need to make it last 10 years and hopefully at that time, catch the next wave of low COEs when owners from the current big COE quota batch again sell off their cars, and allow for another round of big quotas again.

At that point in time, only got scrap value.

Then should rename this thread title to "which CUV would you choose for now"

Else ppl will keep recommending landrovers, foresters, xtrails, CRVs or Outlanders

have to ask ts & mod to rename lol..

anyway, the line has been blurred. maybe those who follow really closely may know the subtle diff..

doesn't matter as we're only discussin; ultimate decision still lies w ts.

SUV for me may be tucson / fxt, cuv for me may be just xv (but alas no manual mode)

The XV will have the worst for sure.

i dunno the transacted price for resale cars, but seemed no used xv for sale currently, and turnover quite ok like 1mth, so i dun think xv so bad. but the doors feel quite kosong, giving it a cheap feel although interior quite upmarket.
