Hamburger Hypersonic February 20, 2016 Share February 20, 2016 Going to renew next mth.. Now the pqp is as at 49,541. Still save 4k from the initial. My parf is less than 2k.. All in all, it's around 51k for 10 years. Parts also replaced, new paint code, new seat and changing new tyre next weekend. Of course, 1 shot 50k gone from my account.. definitely I am sore and upset about it At the current level, maybe buying an entry car like accent makes more sense. ↡ Advertisement

Dafansu Turbocharged February 20, 2016 Share February 20, 2016 What happens if COE had risen? Like stocks and property, there is really no way to tell whether prices will rise and fall. It is because sentiment is bad that COE prices are at $~40K instead of ~$90K. Like stocks and property, once sentiment changes, prices can rise swiftly. This topic has been discussed to death in forums. From a depreciation standpoint, there is really not much savings as compared to brand new car when you account for maintenance and road tax for a COE car. risen very unlikely. major supply coming in, buying demand not there due to economic outlook, companies starting to retrench staff. MAS regulation downpayment, and 5 years loan regulation. etc. the down trend is more likely. My key is to override the high COE, that's where the major saving will be. Throttle2 Supersonic February 20, 2016 Share February 20, 2016 Quite amusing that only in Singapore we think about wear and tear parts after the 10th year. Why need to use the "COE" as a benchmark? Yes, why? nothing is forever. Follow a schedule to replace thats the best. I maintain my cars swee swee, even when i am selling, i also maintain swee swee.... Today change oil and filter and brake pads and sensor. Maybe next week sold already.....

Yeobt Supercharged February 21, 2016 Share February 21, 2016 Hi all, does anyone know if car dealer will take in vehicles with coe renewed? Other then the coe rebate, since Without parf value, how much would they take in? depending on the market value (demand of cars and the particular model of the car ) at the point of sales. an used '96 Honda civic 3 doors EK9 with new COE was selling at $90k few months ago. body only without COE was selling $30k. '96 is a 20 years old car. give your car a new life if you love and enjoy behind the wheel of your car. if one doesn't feel love driving the car, one would not consider to renew the COE even if the PQP is $2. love and passion cannot be measured by MONEY.

Baal Supersonic February 21, 2016 Share February 21, 2016 I think you have misread or someone has misinformed Its not about cooling. Its about the pressure. So low fuel levels = low pressure levels = fuel pump working harder to compensate = shorter lifespan for fuel pump?

Amazon777 3rd Gear February 21, 2016 Share February 21, 2016 (edited) Renewing PQP for my 2008 C180 in 2yrs time. As for my other CRV 2.4, don't think is wise to renew due to high tax. Intend to scrap CRV in 1.5yrs time and replace with a Vezel/HRV then. Even though my CRV was well taken care for but still paid considerable amount over the years to maintain it, nothing beats a brand new car. Would love to trade in my old w204 for a brand new w205, but renewing PQP at say $40k for 10yrs+$20K Parf, only $60k for 10yrs deprecation, had facelifted it to 2013 model. In fact, I "saved" $100k if compare to buying new W205. Only Merc, I dare to renew COE beyond 10yrs. Any other conti brand, I don't dare to touch, else would have renewed my super well maintained E60 at $30k Parf + $68k PQP in late 2004. But if someone wants to sell cheap a close to 10yrs reasonable condition Cayman, (dealer buy in price), I don't mind pick it up and renewing the COE. boyt_jbl Neutral Newbie July 17, 2016 Share July 17, 2016 Your air con magnetic clutch is used to engage the compressor to the engine so that it can start doing work to compress the refrigerant. It is not turn on perpetual ly. Only when need to. So the clutch engage and disengage according to the temperature. One of the hardest working component in your air con and when it fail to work, your compressor cannot run. Hi, where is a good workshop to have this checked and/or replaced? My Toyota Isis aircon blows cold air when car is moving, but, when car is idle (e.g. stopped at traffic or parked), after a minute it blows normal air or warm air only. Thanks!

Go check your air con fan at the radiator side. The fan motor is probably dead. ↡ Advertisement
