Yes... same same.... they didn't update the engine to the latest GDI model cos of costs constraints to keep pricing competitive.

Does the SX version come with sunroof & HID? Thanks

Dont worry la.. korean car once announce facelift very fast dealer will change

 

The elantra like announce facelift, within 3 month AD alr deliver it. I alr 5 to 6 new elantra on the road.

 

Considering civic also launched,took 6 month to deliver 1st car

I heard july/August but please don't quote me saw a new Elantra today on the roads SLC plate.

I saw a brand new K3 this morning... SLC 3XXX plate. The pre-facelift model. I think C&C still clearing their backlog of orders... lots of people ordered the SX model I think when the COE dipped two months back but perhaps most were on non-guaranteed packages... so have to slowly clear by asking for significant top ups since the COE has risen by $2000 since two months ago....

Then they went back to SX and the latest SX has 2 airbags instead of 6, no HID.

 

 

1st Batch SX (Only 1 model then)

HID, original touchscreen HU

 

2nd Batch SX

no HID, normal HU without touchscreen

 

1st Batch EX

Reflector instead of Projector headlamp iirc, tail lamp is bulb instead of LED

 

2nd Batch EX

Projector headlamp and LED tail lamp

 

3rd Batch SX (Sports)

HID, Sunroof

 

4th Batch SX (No more Sports kit)

No HID and Sunroof, Airbags x 2 instead of 6

 

 

 

I might miss out here and there, subjected to correction.

Of course I didnt include the freebies like Eurostyle HU and stuff. Do remember to retrieve your original HU/Rear mirror if they give you the Eurostyle HU/mirror as it is a gift or you paid for it. They install for you but the original unit still belongs to you.

Yup like you said it only took 3 months for this new Elantra to come in after being on sale in Korea. But the facelifted K3 has been on sale in home country since December, that's 5 months ahead liao.

Just hoping whenever this facelift arrives, the feature list do not get cut down more and more as it did with the pre-facelift as you mentioned.
