Wow .. you got what kind of piano so ba bai must buy house to get ? Steinway ?

Aiyoh!! it only cost me hardly $1k , 22 years back and don't know how many "seconds hands"  it changed hands ; It must have been already like 20++ years old ... think it was some Kawai brand in walnut colour ... any my flat was only a 5 room in Bedok

Actually I did ask the Company that I bought from and they said they will buy back at only $100-$200 as they said transport cost alone will be like $100 as need specialists to transport piano manually by hand , cannot in lift meh??

Now I cannot even remember when they delivered it was it floor by floor or lift; This piano business is big time one; but I guess they also have some risks

My recommendation:

Get a Lee Oskar Diatonic C Harmonica:

http://www.yamaha.com.sg/eshop/ProductDisplay?urlRequestType=Base&catalogId=11101&categoryId=13082&productId=80547&errorViewName=ProductDisplayErrorView&urlLangId=-1&langId=-1&top_category=13013&parent_category_rn=13013&storeId=11201

Why Harmonica?

- cheap (< SGD50)

- Strengthen your lungs. Build six packs for males, big boobs for ladies.

- Blow and suck - less chance of developing buck/misaligned tooth if one will to use flute, trumpet, etc.

- music instrument in your pocket, bring it everywhere including the beach and have a romantic musical session like this:

Before citizens complain to MPs that piano and piano lessons are very very expensive..... we do have a choice. [laugh]

yeah basically its the U1 vs other ones from Kawai. But kawai seems to have changed their model numbering system, so bit confused there.

Less info about the Kawai ones also from what i'm reading at the KSparent thread.

In general, Yamaha piano are ease to play and have richness of tone. Kawai brand have more mellow tone with rich bass.

Both are good as long as MIJ IMHO.

It's the cheapest affordable musical instrument for those who grew up in the old era. [laugh]

$5 for a Hero brand harmonica last time vs 5,000 for a piano now. :D

Never get the chance to learn music, now almost half my life gone, still cannot play any musical instrument.

Am I missing something here? [confused]

Nope if you have not interest.

If really need to learn, get a harmonica, not expensive and can be picked up quite easily.

I guess playing musical instrument is like cooking...... I can tell you if the food is nice or not nice but I cannot cook.

For music is the same, I can tell you if the music sounds nice or not, but I cannot play.

I am just glad someone else is doing it for me..... [:p]

Turbocharged

cheapest and compulsory  for all pri school kids to learn.

yamaha-soprano-recorder-yrs-24b-and-bag.

i wish schools will stop forcing kids to play this instrument. it's a torture listening to your neighbours' kids practising, esp early in the morning. 99.99% is just pure tortuous noise. [furious]
