Starhub give this 4G Speed boost supposedly for free on my line.

I didn't bother too much if it's for free.

Suddenly this month, I noticed they charged me $2 for it, after I compared to my previous months bill.

I didn't sign up for this. They thrust it to me and now quietly charged $2 bcuz I didn't say NO.

This is really underhanded.

Just to charge you $2 without you even knowing, if you have not checked.

What stupid speed boost? I don't really care about it in the first place.

Do check all your telco bills.

They are all suckers and playing dirty tricks.

mobile better stick to prepaid.

No monthly commitment, per minute charge same as postpaid. If need "plans", also can buy bulk plans. Any unconsumed quota, can roll over again and again. [thumbsup]

Reminded me many many years ago during 2G era... I bought my dopod phone with RSS function. I didnt subscribe for any data enable plan and when the 1st bill came, it was few hundred bucks... I check and they confirm that I used data for RSS which is a pre activated function on the phone and automatically update the news every hour. They told me that unless I specifically ask to cancel my data but during that time, 2G is not even a popular things and how do I know I have to cancel something I didnt even know?.. damn pissed and told them that I will report this to IDA and CASE. They waived off the charges and cancel off my data connection.

How to lose a customer?

You will give up using a phone?

:D

The usual thing to do is to switch telco. [:p]

That means they lose one customer for every $2 they try to extort.

Anyway, they did me a favour.

I wasn't looking around earlier, but now I found m1 has a mysim plan with no phone, no contracts

https://www.m1.com.sg/personal/mobile/plans/mysim

and with no 4G VAS charge.

i actually opt for the 4G booster when i notice the 3G speed is too slow.

If you dun have any contract, you can actually go for their SIM only plan with 4G, and for lower usage, the subscription is quite low.
