There are 600k private car (including rental car) on our little island. That's 1 car to 11 ppl (including FW).

 

Excl. maid, s pass & worker permit, we are looking at 1 car to 7 ppl. That's higher than big country like Germany

I have a solution for car lite.

 

Turn all the void decks into offices so people come down and work

 

and go up and sleep after work. When people from other countries

 

ask how we come to work, we tell them I took the lift. We live in a 

 

vertical city so we need vertical solutions.

Private building parking they also want to touch?    Less parking available but more connectivity to public transport and alternative options such as walking and cycling? With so many problems and issues on public transport, and no infrastructure for cycling, and they still continue to ''force'' people to use these options?

Wait till complains come in then wake up their ideas.

 

As usual, fix it when it ain't broken. Break it themselves and then ask us to pay for it to fix it.

but the authority only think of 1 way ... reduce spaces and increase car park charges

 

the people solution is INCREASE spaces (smartly) and reduce car park charges ...

however, if the system hang ... no one can retrieve their car liao ... lol
