Twincharged

This happened just now, as I was turning after the right turn arrow came on but this Hyundai Getz, SGH 239 D, ignored the red light and continue to turn into my path. Such irresponsible driver ought to be told off to prevent another accident from happening. Pls see attached link for video https://youtu.be/GgYawtt3FoU

Send to TP and they will help you to tell him off.

A stick-it Lausai signage on the car roof will be useful to enable others to give way during emergency. Rushing to lausai is no joke, speaking from personal experience.

Hi TS, I totally respect your decision to send the video to the TP.  Good job with your defensive driving in preventing an accident from happening. His action could have caused a serious or fatal accident. Thankfully nothing serious has happened.

While we are not sure if the taxi driver did it intentionally, I'm fairly certain he does not want to cause an eventual accident, which will put his livelihood on hold consequently and the lives of others at risk. I'm not trying to defend him in particular, but I hope we can be a little more understanding to the taxi uncles on the road. Some are very old and have health conditions. Most are driving at least 8 to 18 hours so that they can stand on their own feet and/or to provide for their family. To me taxi driving is a very tough job, as one need to drive long hours in our terok road conditions without clean toilet, decent meals and medical/leave benefits. Most are not taxi drivers by choice, and would not have dreamed of this career in their growing-up years.

Economy cycle is a faceless and heartless beast, we may end up as a taxi driver one day. Please live and let live.  :a-toast:

I totally agree. We may not like taxi drivers because of their driving behavior. But i know how it feels like to be driving almost the whole day. I was a driver during my NS daze.
