If can follow bike coe will b good. But lookrd like 4 wheel n size wouldn't yield any good outcome. Nevertheless, hope govt will treat this as lower carbon footprint n taking up less parking space n give concessions close to bike ownership cost. Then I may b able to parrot the statement of "i drive one my wife drives one".

Previously there was a Renault sale of management cars at Vivo, they also brought the Twizy there. I read they have problems with LTA as it's being classified as a car, which would make it extremely unattractive for buyers here. 

 

That was more than a year ago so I guess Renault still can't get the green light to register it as a Class 2. Probably it will remain as a display piece for their roadshows

Seems like we're not ready to embrace new tech or concept as readily as euro nations, or r there economic / infrastructural / political considerations?

I think it's simply the "law by law" syndrome. Cos got 4 wheels + steering wheel, hence classified as car. It is a uniquely Singapore problem as we have COE here. In other countries there is no COE so it can sell well for those who need a tiny electric vehicle to move around in the city.
