Heard got a big shipment of Impreza. So guess don't matter 4D or 5D, you will be getting your cars.

Registering will be "slow" as there's limit to the number of cars to be register by LTA.

Still no OMV yet.

Have test driven the new Subaru Impreza 5D recently...

Anyone feel the slight jerk when starting the car is an issue?

Also, how does everyone feel the boot space is for both the 4D and the 5D variants?

Pretty keen to get this car when my COE runs out in a few months' time... :)

Was contacted to make rest of the payment, awaiting for SE to collect cheque from me.

Did not feel the slight jerk you mentioned so can't comment there. Shouldn't happen considering you need to be stepping on the brakes when you start the car. And even then with the gear in park, the gearbox wouldn't be engaged for the car to jerk.

Also, Boot space is definitely bigger in the 5D, with the opening way better than many models out there.

Can see this vid for a rough gauge on space for the 5D. First few sec will do.

You can always trade in your car ;)

Hi bro, could you please help check whether the OMV for your car is available? I believe that once the car arrives, the OMV is known. Thank you.

Car arrived but has still yet to clear custom. OMV should be not yet so fast.

Should not have jerk but Subaru boxer engines do start with rumble and a slight shake typical of this engine.

Most reviewers like the rumble of the boxer engine.

Though it gives a slight shake when it starts, once it gets going, the engine is smoother than normal engines as the opposing pistons cancel each other's vibration. Plus the cvt, this makes the car super smooth on the move.

Official figure for boot space is 4D 460Liter while 5D is 340Liter.

Mazda 3 is 4D 408Liter while 5D is 308Liter

Elantra is 458Liters.

Sylphy 520 Liters

That's true but considering the opening and the possibilities of increasing boot space to 700 over liters after folding the seat down, hatches seems to be the more practical option apart from the sedan.

Want more boot space go for Levorg

That's a mighty expensive option for larger boot space...

Once you collect the car, it will be known. So it should be out very soon, I guess. When will you guys collect your car?
