Dunlop tyre VE302

Hello all,

 

I want to share my experience on dunlop veuro VE302. It is a very quiet tyre. Performance wise it is acceptable, but please see the below picture. It just happen to me and luckily i am not driving high speed. This is my first time encounter my tyre crack until the steel wire also came out ! Btw, this tyre is only two year old !

Bro,

 

Your tire has lost pressure severely, anything can happen, may not be manufacturer's defect.

The tyre lost pressure after the steel wire burst out. Previous it is ok !

This is really weird then: your tread still seemed plenty, shouldn't have grounded down to the steel wires.

Yes u got sharp eyes, my tyre thread at least 70% left. *sigh, it is my luck.. or i hit something sharp on the tyre sidewall that probably causes the crack?

Doesn't look like it: your sidewall still seemed largely intact.

 

Suggest you bring it to the tire shop you bought the tires from and let them have a look ASAP.

The mechanic told me it is 2014. I also can see the manufacturing date code. ya very heng, luckily no accident. Just imagine i am on highway... End up i change all, just to play safe.

whats your tyre pressure?

seems like prolong underpressure causing stress on the part where the sidewall joins the contact area

this only happen on front left tyre

do u rotate tyre?

underinflate and keep rounding mscp will wear it down worst on front left
