haha ... think you better bring your own cooler bag, suspect will be quite crowded.

I wonder how much their promotion off persil is...

Now that the bags are sealed, they last longer.

it's about a 2 dollar difference when on promotion. so i don't find the cost difference very significant.

I use both.

I use dove as well, but i think even these warehouse sale hard to beat the PI ones available at the toiletries shops.

i used to get my t-shirts from Song & Song, in particular, Toa Payoh outlet.

too bad nowadays the stuff they bring in so so nia.

I find Uniglo clothing pretty light too ... good for hot days.

seems like the Uniglo at Chinatown Point has more sale stuff, though sizes limited by then.

so i go Uniglo and Swanston and Ocean when in Chinatown area.

Uniqlo has short sleeved work shirts as well, but only in Japan from what I'm aware.

I bought 3 from tokyo in 2010. Still using them now.

I wear them on some days cos the clinic central airconditioning only switches on later

actually such shops are cheaper because of parallel import.  for example, I saw the coke 500ml pet bottle packaging going for 40cents per bottle or $1 for 3 bottles at the same chain at another venue.  the packaging on the bottle shows RM1 and scrutinising the label confirms it was produced in Malaysia.  now we know RM1 is S$0.33 and that's the reason for them being cheap.  but seriously I don't mind it being from Malaysia, Indonesia or Vietnam even.  coke should be the same formula in whichever country of production.

A lot of these shops have Radha as the importer....

yes, I see your point. dunno how cheap is the warehouse sale and whether worthwhile to make the trip there if sale is not significant or not buying a lot.

traffic and parking could be a chore too if too many people are there.

maybe better to go Venus, ABC, Valu$ etc ...  [:p]

Turbocharged

if it is based on what i was told when i holidayed in NZ, the kiwi fruits 'not for export' are supposed to be a little inferior... for local consumption only.

better ones are always exported out.

but ya.. should still be edible. local flavor mah..  [laugh]

Philippines population keeps growing (and Singapore fertility is dropping), these "not for export" food stuff must be very good for certain human activities....

Definitely something good they want to keep away from us!  Must Buy!

I had lunch at Marsiling on Sat morning so decided to buy stuff from the ABC Trading there since got "Closing Down Sale".

btw, how you find Lifebuoy compared to Dettol  ?

Last time I used Lifebuoy find it not as strong as Dettol. Although both also say kills 99% of bacteria   [:p]

ya...such a nice new small heartland mall, becomes like

punggol plaza (many hardware stalls selling cheap stuff)

like hougang green mall (many maid agencies)...

and like far east plaza (several hair salons)

all bundle in one

still several empty shop spaces (good luck)

SS is nice though..looking like cold storage style

Junction 9 is full of crappy shops. Maid agencies especially (at least 5!!!).

The only saviours are Sheng Siong, Kim Sang and a handful of other shops. The rest not worth even walking past.
