Observed something these few days.

FC is getting bad. It was like 14+ on my display but dropped to 13+ since the last 2 petrol topup.

Suspecting its my idling speed.

When stop at red light, the idling RPM will stay at ~600 but rise to nearly 1k for a few sec before dropping back to ~600. This repeats itself whenever i am stationary.

When i off the aircon, the idling RPM stays at ~600.

My aircon i set AUTO and at 25 degC.

Can request fellow Vitara owners to see if they have the same phenomenon?

Thanks.

The rpm rises when air con compressor is running and rpm drops when it is not running. Just like AC at home. Quite normal for most cars. Leave the auto engine start stop function on and rpm will drop to zero when car is stationary!

Do you see the same thing for your car?

IIRC, i don't see this fluctating RPM for my previous SX-4.

Start-Stop got a bit of lag, don't really like it.

13+ on the display, my manual calculation is 12+. Used to be 14+ (display) and 13+(manual cal) few weeks back. Wonder what went wrong.

Any of you have to step on the brakes quite hard during cold start to get the car to start?

Cos mine only happens during cold start and I'm wondering if its normal.

Yes, I see the rpm cycling up and down all the time when the car is stationary and auto stop didn't kick in.

Fuel consumption ard 13++km/l is quite the norm for me (manually calculated).

My brother in law is driving a 1 year old Vitara and he told me he was experiencing this issue a week after he got the car. When he called to ask the sales, they told him 'it's like that one'.

So looks like it is normal.

Hi, anyone know if the stock rims for Vitara are from Enkei or just an OEM type?

Dear all,

I am in talks with a local carshade supplier on the customised Carshade for Vitara.

As my car is an experimental unit; the procedures will take approximately 4-5 months before it'll bear any fruits.

For my reward I have the first ever order-to-build sample on my car. :p

I like to check how many of you are actually interested in carshade?? let me know and perhaps I can let them know the possibility of group order IF my experiment is successful.

Note that it'll be towards end of this year .... watch out for my picture lolol

It's something like that. (See attached picture)

Correct me if there's such sunshade for Vitara in the market but as far as I know ... no such sunshades yet.

I'm not looking for Group buy yet. I'm only asking because I'm meeting the supplier soon and I can check for you.

Vitariff : The 1st white shade layer to the sunroof?

Nope, it is only for the 4 door windows; 2 rear fixed window and the car boot window (7 pieces)

Anyway my car is the experimental Unit. So I am pretty sure it is still not out in market yet.

If Yes, I would have bought it LOLOLOL
