The transformer style rear spolier is the coolest innovation after the mono wiper first seen on the W124 E-Class. [cool]

We got the previous panny at a good discount due to the impending launch of the new panny.

Now not too sure if that was a wise move after seeing these pics. [smallcry] I really like the centre console and that transformer wing + rear LED combo  [smallcry]

Looking at history of BMW.

i3 is like isetta of yesteryear.

i8 is like M1 that was not produced.

I would say it is still BMW

You bias leh. [smash]  Looking at Porsche history, they also have sedan and SUV in their lineup back in the 50s. [laugh] [laugh]

Friend you first time car buyer har? $20K / $30K is not even enough to pay for the deposit of such high end car. Or for that matter, the amount is barely enough for the road tax payable through the 10 years life span. [sly]  [sly]

Porsche Panamera’s All-New Connected Infotainment System

Porsche revealed details about their new infotainment system and connected services, set to debut in the all-new Panamera.

Onboard tech is quickly becoming one of the most crucial areas of a new model and it won’t be long now before customers start to pick their next car judging heavily on the gadgets on offer.

The new Panamera will come with the latest Porsche Communication Management (PCM) infotainment system, utilizing a 12.3-inch high-res touchscreen with a smartphone-like interface. Users will be able to customize the startup screen and choose their preferred widgets to define their most frequently-used functions.

Multitouch operation is a given with Porsche claiming an instant response time as the touchscreen reacts as soon as the user’s hand approaches, switching from its active overview mode to operating mode. In addition to the integrated CD/DVD player, the new PCM also offers two USB and two SD ports and a 10GB so-called “jukebox” for your media.

The new Porsche Connect module offers a series of services to customers, including a call center in Europe, USA and Asia with customers in China and Japan also getting a 24/7 concierge service.

The module also offers features like Apple CarPlay, a smartphone storage compartment for optimized mobile phone reception, remote control for some of the vehicle’s functions and specific data via a smarphone or an Apple Watch.

Porsche will offer its customers three packages Connect services which can be used free of charge for a certain time period. The first is the Car Connect services which will transmit to your device information like the mileage covered or the remaining driving range. Other functions include the locking/unlocking of the vehicle, navigating instructions to where your car is parked and for E-Hybrid models only remote control of the auxiliary heating, retrieval of hybrid-specific information or programming of the charging timer.

The package of Navigation and Infotainment services adds features like an online navigation system with Google Earth and Street View, flight information with real-time info on arrival-departure times, delays as well as gate and terminal numbers. Even empty spots on the parking lot you are heading will be shown, prior to your arrival.

The third package is the Connect App services, designed to work with Porsche’s Connect app. Journey-planning and organization of destinations is simplified as the app can search for them and send them directly to the car.

Impressive tech indeed but so is the rest of the new Panamera.
