BanCoe Hypersonic July 7, 2016 Share July 7, 2016 (edited) Tony Blair made a point......Saddam would most probably not have survived the Arab Spring uprising in 2011.....like Syria....would the situation now be worse? Arab Spring was an uprising of sorts, created by some of the Al queda sympathisers back then (maybe) and also people emboldened by what was going on in Iraq ... but that would have been a natural or rather nationalistic event brewing most likely within the populace and would have taken the same turn but would have been a localised one then ; This countries are well ruled by Tyrants ; I can say same thing about Saud family ruling Saudi too; Anyway milk has been spilt, no use crying over it. So did they find any WMD? NOPE, WMD was all BS scam, hollywood style Saddam is the lizard Isis is the mosquitoes Sometimes don't get rid of the lizards Yes good to have chichaks (lizards aka Tyrants ) around; the Chameleon type some more....... always can change colours at whim and fancy. NOPE, WMD was all BS scam, hollywood style Iraq war was definitely a lose-lose. But invading afghanistan was a win for SG. If it didn't happen, then there was a high chance that the planned bombings of Yishun MRT and american embassy would have succeeded.

Definetely Afghanistan was OK to attack just to weed out Osama; but also it was already a messed up country namely that the Americans themselves supported them (the mujahedeens) in guerilla warfare against the then Soviet invasion, the Soviets gave up and left and then came this freedom fighters and again maybe supported by Pakistan which was a breeding ground for terrorism for quite some time already. After all where was Osama found ?? Pakistan again in his lavish huge mansion not far away from the capital some more, Unbelievable . The whole thing is just a big messy mess right now. I saw one documentary, "Bitter Lake" Over the long course of history, it's best to leave Afghanistan alone. They don't want to be helped. There's no changing of that society. You can only let them kill each other with their warlords and tribal warfare.

Democracy is as alien to them as ET. Same as all the tyrants in M-E, let them be. They contain each other. Once you removed strongman like Saddam, Gaddafi, what do we get today ? Nice democracy ? No, it didn't work. Some other evil takes over. It's neverending. ↡ Advertisement
