Hi

Im driving a 2011 159 2.2JTS.

Lately has been experiencing gear jumping to neutral while driving.

The first time it happened was last week and today it happened again twice.

Car had full servicing at 73K last Oct and normal servicing at 80k last month.

What could be the cause of this gear jumping?

Again my guess is accumulator, actuator and clutch.

One or both or all of the above.

Neutral Newbie

you're right.

Likely the accumulator

Sent my bella to AS.

The clutch has worn out and there's engine oil leak as well.

Was advised to replace few hoses.

$$$$$

Hi guys! I am in the pit now lol just got my 159 JTS 2.2 last week. When I took over the car, the boot is a goner. I came across someone selling a used boot sensor @ Precision Motorworks. Any of you have dealings with this workshop?

Suggest you also check with AS, I saw a few 159 body parts there. They may have used ones that are still in working condition.

I have done my pre purchase at AS, their check did not include my boot. Recently I also found out about a coolant leakage problem which seems to be for some time already. I do not have much faith in AS for now :( anyone faced coolant leaking issue?

Yes had coolant leak on my second Brera in Oz. Max Oddi replaced not only hoses but also the radiator with new OEM one. Wasnt too expensive.

As a general rule replace all your hoses around every 5 years. In the tropical climes of SG they fail so best to fit replacements and carry the old ones as backup if you are travelling far (assuming that the old ones still aok). new hoses not cheap mind but it IS cheap insurance. Maybe best buy from EB or Veloces and import as will be a lot cheaper.

Thank you for your experience. I got a reasonable quote but AS say they can do a simple clip to solve the issue lol. Maybe I will update how it goes
