The Toyota service center in JB such as Toyota Hiewa near Terbau City never turn down Singapore Registered Toyoda cars including Toyoda Harrier purchased from parallel importer. I have been servicing both my Harrier and Rush at this service centers for quite a number of years.

Rgd,

Understand that their showroom open on sunday. Do they do servicing also on sunday ? TIA

Hi, do you have any contacts for JB Toyota? Thinking of sending my Harrier in to replace parts like window rubber, rear wiper motor etc etc.

How fast is their turnaround time? Should I drive in, tell them what I require, have them order the parts, then drive in again another day to install after parts arrived?

Hi, have you gotten your transmission fixed? May want to share your experience you had with the workshop. I did my service in Ellipse for 2.4k, downtime 4 days. The boss knocked off $100 subsequently knowing that i just needed my auto tran for a year. Afterwhuch i drove my car for a year more before i scrapped it.

BTW my gearbox was fixed at my regular mechanic’s place as it broke down unexpectedly and I didn’t have time to source for a gearbox specialist.

So far so good, working well. Think it was fixed at $3k or slightly below.

If want the contact, can PM me.

Hi

Need help

There is this roaring sound from engine compartment when car move off from stationary sounded very rough and happens about 2000rpm onwards.

When driving on highway which rpm is normally above 2000 there is no significant sound but feels a bit of drag when below 40km/hr.

Abit like modified /leaking exhaust sound but my car is stock. Engine is smooth when accelerate at neutral, exhaust checked and not leaking.

This roaring sound will sometimes disappear and it will be smooth like baby but most of time it is around.

Let's say a single trip has 10 traffic lights and I have to pick up from stop 10 times, 7 of the times will have this rough sound and 3 will be smooth.

Tried going to mechanic three times but every time the sound does not appear .

Tried to accelerate When in neutral and is no sound thus engine should be fine and exhaust not leaking.

Just sharing, I've problems with my Harrier 2003,when shift to D it took 5-8 minutes for the gear engaged,Reverse gear , no problems at all. i tried many things to troubleshoot , like changing transmission fluid, additive, all are not effective.

I am happy to share with friends out there. My problems solved after I replaced the transmission filter. It's work...please try...you will be smiling...no need to replace your gearbox or other items.

Thankyou.

Hello guys, I've the same problems with my Harrier 3000cc. transmission. When shift to D, the car won't move, very annoying, it took 5-8 minutes only then it move. For reverse gear, no problems at all.Done all the ATF replacement and add additive, also still the same, not effective.

I am glad to share with you here, finally I found the answer to this.

Replace the Auto transmission filter and replenish the ATF, that's it problems solved. Try it, No need to replace gearbox.

Thanks,

Mike.

Just google for transmission specialist at pandan road & will find it

Add-on:this shop told me transmission fluid is not included so wanted to charge me for $180 after they replaced the tranny for the first time which I refused to accept. They claimed they are using premium transmission fluid & thus very costly so I have to pay for it. After several refusal they lowered the charge to $100 but I insisted not paying.

The car I sent for tranny replacement is a Honda & of what I know Honda tranny is sensitive to the use of transmission fluid that only original Honda fluid is recommended. But this shop uses "premium" fluid that came from a 200 litre barrel of unknown brand..,,,,,

Hello.. may I kmow the name of this Transmission Shop at Pandan please?

I googled but there are no shops exactly at Pandan. Instead there are many shops nearby instead

Don't worry boss, i have same problems as yours last year, tried everythings but none solve the problems.

What you should do now is just REPLACE the transmission FILTER inside the gearbox. You will feel like driving new car. You just need one Transmission filter, gasket, and ofcourse new ATF( transmission fluid) Please let our members here know once your problems solved.

Thanks.

I am facing same issue, delay in engaging 1st gear. Normally I switch on the Snow ETC for it to engage 2nd gear and off it to engage 1st gear. Only short term solution, still need to find a way to fix the problem. Hope this help, at least you won’t need to wait for minutes before engaging in D ...
