The traffic from Lentor towards Yishun has already been greatly reduced with the widening works completed and the opening of the link to CTE from Yishun dam.

It has opened this morning.

 

It appears some cars are still coming by the old way, along Yishun Ave 6 towards Yishun dam and getting "trapped" at the new traffic light, which is giving priority from traffic on the new Yishun Ave 8.

Went to my cousin's new BTO flat at Yishun. Manage to get a close up view of Sungei Khatib Bongsu along Yishun Avenue 8.

 

 

 

 

Reminds me of the wetlands at Sungei Buloh.

Still a large area of forest between Yishun Ave 8 and  Seletar island / Straits of Johor

I always wondered how people get to the offshore seletar island. By kayak?

The forest area has off road tracks. Used to go in there for MTB. There used to be prawn farms and pig farms before kena acquired by govt for saf training.

 

I travelled there yesterday. Very smooth and fast.
