therock Supersonic August 31, 2016 Share August 31, 2016 Looks nice indeed.. This should have the same DNA as it's parent company VW. So it should be using the same gearbox, suspension etc. Will Skoda have good service and support?

Shouyi 3rd Gear September 2, 2016 Share September 2, 2016 There are rumours that Skoda has appointed a new AD in Singapore, and it will be operational next year. Let see if any official announcement soon. I like the Kodiaq. I suspect the most probable AD would be Trans Eurokars.

fungyee77 5th Gear September 2, 2016 Share September 2, 2016 Hurray. Hope the pricing for the cars will be competitive. Interesting article. If this article is correct, pricing will be very attractive ie £22500 to £26000 plus (for top spec model). By comparison, Sorento starts at £28k, so 10-20% cheaper than the poverty spec Sorento. If UK pricing is true and if the pricing differential translates similarly to Singapore, this will be competing in the Outlander pricing zone which would represent amazing value indeed. http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/skoda-kodiaq-suv-cost-£22500

fungyee77 5th Gear September 2, 2016 Share September 2, 2016 (edited) If it comes available at outlander price, I CONFIRM buyI went to check. Apparently Outlander is going for £23,699 in UK. So even cheaper than Outlander in the UK, if the rumored pricing is accurate... Sounds too good to be true, so let's see what the final numbers come out to be. There maybe a taxation dynamic to it as well ie non-EU built Outlander maybe less tax friendly than the EU built Kodiak etc. http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-review/mitsubishi/outlander Edited September 2, 2016 by Fungyee77
Aukang 6th Gear September 2, 2016 Author Share September 2, 2016 anyone saw the LIVE youtube broadcast of the launch of the SKODA Kodiak this early morning? its around 1am(2/Sept) Good looking car indeed!!! Me :)... Long boring wait for the countdown. Super impressive launch... It was in Berlin. They invited thousands or journalists to cover the event... And simultaneous translations into a few languages.. From German and English which were the main languages used... Very impressed. Skoda must have spent quite a bit on the publicity. Those who are keen to watch the launch... https://media.skoda-auto.com/en/_layouts/Skoda.PRPortal/search.aspx?q=Kodiaq&scope=APV Caveat.... I don't work for Skoda
Aukang 6th Gear September 4, 2016 Author Share September 4, 2016 (edited) India will get second half of 2017. 28 lakhs to 35 lakhs, lowest to highest end... which is roughly 58k to 72k. https://www.indiacarnews.com/news/skoda-kodiaq-suv-india-price-launch-11960/ Edited September 4, 2016 by Aukang

Looks like pricing should be pretty competitive. At Xtrail, outlander pricing, think this will do very well in the Singapore market. http://m.carandbike.com/nissan-cars/new-x-trail
7hm Turbocharged September 4, 2016 Share September 4, 2016 Skoda's Simply Clever addition are really just that. Useless for us, but they even have stuff like ice scraper integrated into the fuel cap, emergency vest holders, umbrellas in doors, bag hook on dash, removable lamp... Then again some of them might be optional equipment. Probably will never make their way here.
Kangadrool Supersonic September 4, 2016 Share September 4, 2016 In UK, 1K difference is a lot to car buyers which can send buyers into rage.
